A Light in Darkness: Stories of Grief and Loss

I recently received a hard copy of the new book A Light in Darkness: Stories of Grief and Loss. The book is published by Word Aflame Press and is available at pentecostalpublishing.com.

With an introduction by Scott Graham and thirteen chapters by a variety of authors, this 150-page book is intended not only for those who have suffered grief and loss but also for those who seek guidance on how to minister comfort to them.

Susan and I contributed the final chapter, wherein she shares the story of the loss of her husband, Robert Fuller. I share my experience with the loss of my wife, Judy. Together, we then reveal the miraculous turn of events that resulted in our marriage seven years ago.

I recommend this book. Scripture calls on us to practice empathy, and this provides an opportunity to do so. (See Romans 12:15.)
