Proverbs 10:27 (NKJV) — 27 The fear of the Lord prolongs days, But the years of the wicked will be shortened.

Long life or short life?  The life of those who fear the Lord may be prolonged because their fear of Him prevents them from doing harmful things that tend to shorten life. The years of the wicked may be shortened because, in their wickedness, they do risky things that tend to shorten life.
