Proverbs 3:28 (NKJV) — 28 Do not say to your neighbor, “Go, and come back, And tomorrow I will give it,” When you have it with you.
Don’t postpone neighborly help. Societies are strengthened when neighbors feel a strong obligation to one another. Instead of merely decrying the general decay of neighorliness, we should be willing to take steps to correct that problem with those who live around us.
Matthew 5:42 (NKJV) — 42 Give to him who asks you, and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away.
