Proverbs 3:29 (NKJV) — 29 Do not devise evil against your neighbor, For he dwells by you for safety’s sake.

Neighbors must support and protect one another. A person who protects and helps his neighbor will find ultimately that he is strengthening his own position, but someone who devises evil against his neighbor will find he is hurting himself.

Proverbs 26:27 (NKJV) — 27 Whoever digs a pit will fall into it, And he who rolls a stone will have it roll back on him.
