Proverbs 13:2 (NKJV) — 2 A man shall eat well by the fruit of his mouth, but the soul of the unfaithful feeds on violence.
Eating right. Words are the fruit of a person’s mouth. Someone will “eat well” (i.e., things will go well for that person) as a result of speaking good words from a good heart. But the unfaithful person, whose heart is evil and who speaks wrong words, will find that things will not go well. That person’s soul (i.e., his mind, will, and emotions) will “feed on violence.” Ultimately, that person will face destruction.
