Proverbs 4:6 (NKJV) — 6 Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you; Love her, and she will keep you.

Wisdom will preserve and keep a person. Book learning or degrees from educational institutions can be valuable, but they are no substitute for wisdom. Even in an economic sense, employers seek workers who have wisdom and understanding. They need trustworthy, creative, understanding employees, not people who have degrees or diplomas alone.
