Daily Wisdom 64: Proverbs 4:3

Proverbs 4:3 (NKJV) — 3 When I was my father’s son, Tender and the only one in the sight of my mother,

The son born of the adulterous relationship between David and Bathsheba died; Solomon was the next son born to them. The attitude with which Solomon mentions his father and mother indirectly illustrates that God does not hold a child responsible for his parents’ sins and that both David and Bathsheba had been forgiven by God and were fully restored to an honorable position.
