Daily Wisdom 220: Proverbs 11:2

Proverbs 11:2 (NKJV) — 2 When pride comes, then comes shame; But with the humble is wisdom.

After pride, shame. The proud person will surely be brought to shame. Wisdom will not be found with the proud, but with the humble. But while we should not think of ourselves more highly than we ought, we should not continually berate or belittle ourselves as is that were humility.

Romans 12:3 (NKJV) — 3 For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.

Apostolic Study Bible and Logos Bible Software

While reading a Facebook thread recently, I learned that the Apostolic Study Bible notes are available on Logos Bible Software. I was delighted to know this, and I have purchased this Logos feature.

I had the privilege of participating as a contributor to the Apostolic Study Bible, writing the comments for the books of Psalms, Proverbs, Hebrews, James, I Peter, II Peter, and Jude. In addition, I wrote the signature articles on the Holy Spirit and the Gifts of the Spirit. I know most of the contributors. They are well qualified for the task, spiritually and academically.

I have two hard copies of the Apostolic Study Bible, and I am pleased to know I can now integrate this resource with my research and writing.
